February 2022 quotes for TV-use LCD panels slipped on month by 1.75-3.42%, while those for LCD monitor-use panels declined 2.74-6.81%, according to China-based Sigmaintell Consulting.
This is mainly because global demand for LCD monitors has decreased along with the easing of the coronavirus pandemic, but also because LCD panel makers have shifted part of their production capacities for TV-use panels to production of more profitable IT-use panels, and consequently output of monitor-use panels has increased, Sigmaintell noted.
