Taiwan recorded manufacturing production index (2016 as base year) of 108.37 for April 2020, decreasing 7.62% sequentially but increasing 4.15% on year, according to the Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA).

Based on MOEA's sample survey, 7.5% of companies across all manufacturing industries expected output in May 2020 to grow sequentially, 61.1% expected no changes, and 31.5% expected sequential decrease.
